Season Beginnings

So much to do this time of year, but really, isn’t it all year long? We’re gearing up for big plant sales, we have nearly doubled our growing space this year, we have a brand new hoop house that is nearly bursting at the seams, and now we have a blog! We have had a wonderful start to our 2015 market season with lots of produce sales as well as plant sales. But the fun is only beginning! We are growing some new things this year, as well as our typical crops like okra, tomatoes, green beans, lettuces, cucumbers, summer squash, winter squash, and pumpkins. As for plants that we have available, we have seven different varieties of tomato plants, 3 varieties of pepper plants, yellow squash (crookneck and straightneck), zucchini, pickling cucumbers, marigolds, nasturtiums, and quite a list of herbs inclucing basil, sage, thyme, and parsley. All plants are $3 and are available at the market as well as on site with an appointment.

We do hope our new blog will keep you up to date on Harp & Shamrock happenings and also help those of you who are just getting started on your gardening journey. We’re all in this together!
